First Division Stream clubs hunt for round 32 of PstBet NFA cup

Namibia’s first-tier clubs in the Northwest and Southern Stream First divisions will face off in the preliminary rounds of the PstBet NFA Cup this weekend, seeking to secure a spot among the competition’s 32 finalists.
One of the Namibia Football Association’s (NFA) oldest competitions, which went on hiatus for three years after the last tournament in 2021 when Civics defeated Mighty Gunners 3-1 in the final game in Swakopmund, has been revived under PstBet and will include women’s football.
PstBet has injected N.dollars 6 million into the competition.
The official draw for the championship will begin with 32 teams (round of 32), including 16 Namibia Premier Football League clubs that will advance directly to the round of 32 main draw.
The Southern and Northwest divisions will play in preliminary rounds, with the winner of each division progressing to the round of 32.
The Northeast division has already concluded its rounds, and Further Fighters have emerged as champion.
Furthermore, 14 second division preliminary round winners will advance to the round of 32, which will result in a random draw in which two second-division preliminary round winner teams will be chosen at random to play against each other, with one team eliminated to make up the 32 teams for the round of 32.
The Northwest First Stream Division is ready for a weekend showdown, with 11 games set at Omulunga Stadium in Grootfontein and the Rietfontein sports field, where 12 league teams will battle it out with the winner progressing to the round of 32 on Sunday.
In the first preliminary round, the revived African Motto will host KK Palace, Outjo Football Academy will play Touch and Go, and Onambula United will face Eleven Warriors. Khuse Lions will face Young Chiefs FC.
Golden Bigs will begin their round in the quarterfinals against Oshikuku Young Stars, followed by Golden Bees’ match against Ongediva City.
Elsewhere in the south, the PstBet NFA Cup preliminary matches will get underway at the Mariental Showgrounds, with 12 clubs vying for a berth in the coveted last 32.
Dates Eleven will face O&L Ramblers to start the weekend, followed by Oranjemund FC and Mariental Sports Club. Blue Boys will face Latinos FC, while Namibian Correctional Service will play DTS FC.
Black Africa FC, who have won the cup before, will face Try Again. Meanwhile, Eleven Arrows will take on Davos FC.
