The National Council and National Assembly have jointly launched new vehicle registration number plates today in Windhoek. The vehicles that belong to the parliament will be easily identified by a green vehicle registration plate displaying the abbreviation LNA for Legislature National Assembly and LNC for Legislature National Council.

Delivering a keynote address at the unveiling of the new registration number plates, the speaker of the National Assembly, Peter Katjavivi, stated that this does not change the role of the legislature as a key organ of the State. Katjivivi added that this reflects on their commitment to modernisation and efficiency.

“By adopting these standardised registration marks, we streamline identification processes and reinforce our dedication to transparency and accountability in our operations as parliament,” said Katjavivi.
