Windhoek High Court Issues Final Order Against Dismissed Namib Mills Employees

today28 May, 2024

Background

The Windhoek High Court issued a final order preventing 26 dismissed Namib Mills employees and activist Michael Amushelelo from harassing the company or approaching within 70 meters of any of its premises nationwide. This comes after they blocked a Namib Mills depot entrance, risking daily losses of N$ 3.7 million. The court initially granted an interim order in April, barring their unauthorized entry. Now, they are prohibited from any unlawful activities at any Namib Mills locations nationwide. Additionally, the 26 employees were officially dismissed on May 19.
