Health Ministry Invests in New Hospitals

The Health ministry has allocated N$18 million for land to build the new Windhoek District Hospital and plans to construct additional hospitals in Ondangwa, Otjiwarongo, Nkurenkuru, and the Oshana region the Brief reports. This effort is part of a N$16 billion initiative to enhance Namibia’s health infrastructure. The Windhoek District Hospital, set to be completed by 2027, will cost N$2.9 billion. The Otjiwarongo land acquisition cost N$5 million, while the Ondangwa site, donated but requiring N$2 million for occupant compensation, will also host a new hospital.
