Forestry Ministry Condoles Families After Two Men Killed by Elephants in Omusati and Zambezi Regions

Background

The Environment, Forestry, and Tourism ministry has extended condolences to the families of Gert Van der Walt and Albert Kawayile, who were trampled to death by elephants in separate incidents. Van der Walt, a professional hunter, was killed in Tsandi Constituency, while Kawayile, a ministry employee, was attacked on his way to work in the Zambezi region. The ministry emphasized their significant roles in natural resource conservation and human-wildlife conflict resolution.
