Iranians will return to the polls today to decide between reformist Masoud Pezeshkian and hard-line conservative Saeed Jalili in a presidential runoff. The initial vote saw no candidate securing a majority. Pezeshkian advocates for improved foreign relations to boost Iran’s economy, while Jalili holds strong anti-Western views. This election follows the death of former president Ebrahim Raisi. This is the country’s second presidential runoff in history.
