Dozens of European leaders are in the UK for a summit the new British government says will help ‘reset’ relations with the continent. It’s the fourth European Political Community summit, and is being held at Blenheim Palace. The conflict in Ukraine is high on the agenda, with President Zelensky in attendance. UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy says it’s a significant moment for the new UK government.

On Friday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer named Lammy as his foreign secretary, as the newly-appointed premier started forming a Labour Party government after winning the general election.
The 51-year-old Labour politician and lawyer who is a backer of strong bilateral ties with India, last month said that he would be visiting New Delhi if his party is voted to power on July 4.
From a wider foreign policy perspective, Lammy stressed on a free and open Indo-Pacific” working in partnership with India.
