The Ministry of Justice has rehired two retired senior officials, Matti Asino and Chris Nghaamwa, just three months after they stepped down. Asino, who is Sam Nujoma’s nephew, will now serve as a debt collector, while Nghaamwa has returned to his former role as chief legal adviser to the attorney general. Despite the legal retirement age in Namibia being 60, Ministry executive director Gladice Pickering defended Nghaamwa’s reappointment as being administratively justified and approved on good grounds.
