Namibia Breweries Limited has contributed N$2.4 billion to the local economy through corporate taxes, customs duties, and excise fees reports The Brief. In the past year alone, the company paid N$800 million in corporate taxes and N$1.6 billion in customs and excise duties. NBL’s beer exports reached N$747 million in 2023, reflecting its global competitiveness. Additionally, NBL was a major driver of foreign direct investment, with Heineken increasing its shareholding by N$9.2 billion and acquiring Distel’s Namibian operations for N$1 billion, enhancing its competitive position.
