Corruption Undermines Progress Says ACC Director General Paulus

today9 October, 2024

Background

During the Omusati Annual Regional Forum, Paulus Noa, Director General of the anti corruption Commission, expressed that corruption has limited the benefits many Namibians receive from their country’s resources, leaving a significant portion in extreme poverty. He emphasized that corruption undermines national projects designed to improve living standards and hampers poverty alleviation efforts. Noa stated that it diverts essential resources away from investments in health, education, infrastructure, and other critical services, labeling corruption as the root cause of moral decay that obstructs the development agenda.
