At least 9 people have died from Hurricane Milton which ripped through the US state of Florida on Wednesday night. Rescuers continue to search for survivors, as more than three million people are still without power. Mitch McCann reports from St Augustine in Florida.

In news just in, at least 16 people are now known to have died in Florida after Hurricane Milton swept across the state. Rescuers are picking through the debris left after strong winds and severe flooding destroyed buildings, roads and power lines. Briton Paul Whiting – who’s on holiday in Florida – decided to shelter in place.
