NamPol inaugurates new police station in Ohangwena Region

Background

The Inspector General of the Namibian Police (NamPol), Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo, has officially inaugurated the Onamukulo police station in the Ohangwena Region, highlighting the government’s commitment to delivering effective law enforcement services to all Namibians.

During the inauguration ceremony, Shikongo said that the establishment of this police station marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to bring police services closer to local communities. He said, “This reflects the government’s determination to ensure that all Namibians, regardless of where they live, have access to effective law enforcement services.”

 

 

The newly constructed facility will serve as a dedicated space for law enforcement officers while also providing an area where community members can engage with the police. This initiative aims to foster a safer and more secure environment for residents in the Ohangwena Region, reinforcing the importance of community collaboration in maintaining public safety.
