Police Investigate Discovery of Buried Rifles in Rehoboth and Armed Robbery in Karibib

Background

The Namibia Police Force is investigating the discovery of 55 old, rusted rifles without serial numbers in Rehoboth, unearthed by construction workers on a private property; these rifles are believed to date back to the German wars. In Karibib, an armed robbery occurred at a residence in the Namagra factory area, where three masked men threatened and tied up an elderly couple with a knife, stealing valuables valued at N$231,000. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing in both incidents.
