Standard Bank Namibia has confirmed that a number of its clients’ accounts were hacked, resulting in unauthorized debit card transactions from a specific vendor. The bank issued a statement acknowledging the breach and stated that it had detected the fraudulent activity on a limited number of accounts. The allegations began circulating on social media on Sunday evening. In response, the bank has engaged with affected customers and taken immediate corrective actions to address the issue and prevent further incidents.
