National Council Adjourns After Passing Key Bills

The National Council officially entered recess on 14 November 2024, following the conclusion of its Fifteenth Session. Held from 28 October to 14 November, the session saw the passage of important legislation, including the Regularisation of Status of Certain Residents of Namibia Bill, Civil Registration and Identification Bill, Health Professions Bill, and Appropriation Amendment Bill, all of which address critical issues in residency, healthcare, and national finances. Additionally, the Council reviewed various reports from Standing Committees. Public access to Parliament’s activities can be maintained through its website and social media platforms. The National Council will reconvene at a later date.
