NBL PROMOTES ZERO-TOLERANCE FOR DRINKING AND DRIVING THIS FESTIVE SEASON

As a leading responsible beverage company, Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) partners with road safety stakeholders to promote responsible drinking and driving this holiday season, continuing its 18-year effort to encourage positive behaviour and safer consumption in society through the Festive Season Road Safety Campaign.

In living up to this commitment on social responsibility, NBL has a zero-tolerance approach towards alcohol when it comes to drinking and driving. When you drive, you never drink.

“We urge everyone not to drink and drive. Responsible consumption is a shared value, and we’re working with partners to promote this positive behavior. Our goal is a safe, festive season where people enjoy true togetherness responsibly,” said NBL’s Managing Director Peter Simons.

To this effect, with brands like Windhoek non-alcoholic beer, Savanna 0.0 alcoholic free and Heineken 0.0%, consumers can enjoy the range of these non-alcoholic beverages, by ensuring good times with their family and friends in a safe and responsible way this holiday season.

It is for this reason, NBL recently sponsored the biggest contribution of N$200,000.00 towards supporting law enforcement and road safety awareness to the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund for the upcoming Festive Season Road Safety Campaign which will run from 15 November 2024 to 19 January 2025.

The contribution includes donating reflector jackets to traffic law enforcement officers manning the 15 roadblocks throughout the country during this year’s festive season coupled with sponsoring a road safety radio show.

The road safety radio show will empower listeners to make responsible choices by promoting “Don’t Drink and Drive” messages. Its goal is to raise awareness and encourage safe driving behaviour throughout the festive season.

In its ongoing efforts to advocate for moderate and responsible consumption, NBL will continue to set up hydration water stations and promote its non-alcoholic brands at festivals and key events over the festive season.
