Background

Mr. Thanawat Sirikul, Ambassador of Thailand to Egypt, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo. Discussions focused on strengthening trade and investment ties between Egypt and Thailand, particularly in the residential construction, infrastructure, and construction materials sectors.

Hassan Allam Trading expressed interest in collaborating with Thai partners to assemble products for export to Europe and Africa—two regions where Egypt enjoys strategic access and preferential tax agreements. The company also highlighted opportunities for Thai investment in Egypt’s growing hospitality and tourism industries. It pledged to support Thai entrepreneurs by sharing market insights and offering advice on securing investment loans.

Established over 89 years ago, Hassan Allam Trading is one of Egypt’s largest and most reputable companies. In 2023, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Thailand’s SCG International to jointly expand into markets across the Middle East and Africa.
