President Reaffirms Namibia’s Climate Commitment

has reaffirmed Namibia’s commitment to global climate action as she departs for Brazil to attend the 30th UN Climate Change Conference, COP30, in Belem. Speaking at Hosea Kutako International Airport, she said environmental protection has been a constitutional priority since independence, with Namibia actively engaged in the Rio conventions on biodiversity, desertification, and climate change. The President noted that Namibia remains among the countries most affected by climate change.
