The Student Union of Namibia warned that 64% of learners failed to qualify for Advanced Subsidiary Level after a national pass rate of just 36%. The union blamed under-resourced schools, systemic collapse, and policy failures, while criticizing the exclusion of Grade 11 students from government-subsidized tertiary funding. They urged the Ministry of Education to act and warned of possible demonstrations next week. Angie Scholtz spoke with Minister Dr. Sanet Steenkamp on the issue.
