Namibia Revenue Agency Issues N$100.9 Million in Tax Refunds Through Mass Refund Exercise

The Namibia Revenue Agency has successfully refunded N$100.9 million in taxes since commencing its mass tax refund initiative in December of the previous year. NamRA, in a statement, reported that out of the 78,441 processed tax returns, close to 47 thousand refunds were disbursed to individual salary-earners and pensioners. NamRA spokesperson Steven Ndorokaze elaborated on the successful initiative.

Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda of eThekwini in South Africa asserts that all lawful measures will be pursued to compel employees participating in an illegal strike to return to work or potentially face dismissal.
