Congo Nationals Denied Bail in Katutura Court Over Alleged Cannabis Possession

Two male suspects from Congo, allegedly caught in possession of cannabis, were denied bail during their initial court appearance at the Katutura Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday. Bwanga Bonifus and Simba Gabriel faced charges for dealing in and possessing 18,610 grams of cannabis, valued at N$930,500. State Prosecutor Kasale Kasale opposed bail, citing ongoing early-stage investigations, the significant value of the drugs, and the likelihood of the suspects fleeing as reasons.
