Sudan’s RSF Attacks Kill Over 200 Amid Political Deadlock

More than 200 people have been killed in Sudan over the past three days in attacks by the Rapid Support Forces, activists reported to Reuters. The paramilitary group has delayed signing a political charter that could lead to a breakaway government. While the RSF controls much of western Sudan and parts of Khartoum, it has been losing ground in central Sudan to the army.

The National Petroleum Corporation and its partners have completed drilling the Sagittarius-1X exploration well in Block 2914 of the Orange Basin. NAMCOR’s Manager of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations, Paulo Coelho: indicates that drilling began on 18 December 2024 using the Noble Venturer drillship and reached total depth on 6 February 2025.
