Eskom has announced that stage 4 load-shedding will persist throughout the week until Saturday

Eskom has announced that stage 4 load-shedding will persist throughout the week until Saturday. Eskom’s spokesperson, Daphne Mokoena, says this is due to higher-than-anticipated demand and strained emergency reserves. She says 22-thousand-244 megawatts of generation capacity is not available, forecasting a peak evening demand exceeding 28-thousand megawatts. Mokoena’s announcement comes after the country was subjected to stage 6 load-shedding last week.
