North Korea has successfully launched its first military spy satellite into space from the Sohae Satellite Launching Station. North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un oversaw the launch, claiming that the Malligyong-1 military reconnaissance satellite is now in orbit.  The development raises concerns as it could provide North Korea with an unprecedented ability to monitor the military activities of the United States and South Korea.
