Health experts say vaping has not been shown to be effective for quitting smoking. Instead, according to Wits University’s Guy Richards, e-cigarettes with nicotine are highly addictive. Statistics from the World Health Organisation show e-cigarettes have been banned in 34 countries. Speaking to eNCA, Richards called for urgent action to control e-cigarettes and protect children, as well as non-smokers.
