The uMkhonto weSizwe Party has condemned any form of Israeli ground invasion in Lebanon. More than 50 people were killed in yesterday's strikes, two days after Israel assassinated Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut. MK Party’s, Wesley Douglas, says Israel’s act of aggression is a dangerous escalation that risks plunging the world into widespread conflict.

New York Mayor charged with taking bribes

Prosecutors have charged New York City Mayor Eric Adams with five counts of criminal offences, including bribery, wire fraud and soliciting illegal foreign campaign donations. According to the BBC, the indictment unveiled on Thursday alleges Adams sought and accepted illegal campaign funds and over $100,000 (£75,000) in luxury travel benefits from Turkish businessmen and an official seeking to gain his influence.
