India braces for cyclone Dana’s landfall

According to India's meteorological department, a cyclone is expected to make landfall between Thursday and Friday, on India's eastern coast. Flights and train services to and from two of India's eastern states have been suspended as the region braces itself for heavy rainfall and gusty winds reaching upto 120kmph.

John Kelly, an ex Marine Corp General, told the New York Times and The Atlantic magazine that his old boss meets the definition of a fascist, warning he would govern like a dictator if he won the election next month. US confirms North Korean troops now in Russia

North Korean troops are now in Russia, the United States has confirmed. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters there is "evidence" of soldiers in the region. Ukraine's military intelligence earlier said troops were expected to arrive in Russia to join Moscow's fight against Ukraine's incursion. Sally Patterson reports.

More than 100 thousand children were to receive the second dose of the vaccine but due the escalating violence this is now not possible. Top Gun: Maverick flight instructor dies in plane crash

The flight instructor who trained actors in the 2022 Top Gun: Maverick movie has died in a small plane crash during an air show in New Mexico. Chuck Coleman was the only person on board the two-seat monoplane when it went down while performing aerobatics. Coleman was an engineer, aerobatic and test pilot with more than ten-thousand hours of flight time.

Cuban Ambassador condemns U.S. blockade

Speaking at a media briefing in Windhoek on Wednesday, Cuban Ambassador to Namibia, Sergio Vigoa de la Uz, addressed the 60-year blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba and its impact. He called the embargo an act of 'genocide' against the Cuban people as it restricted access to international markets.     His comments come ahead of Cuba's resolution presentation at the United Nations General Assembly.
