Democrat Tom Suozzi has won a special election to replace disgraced US lawmaker George Santos in New York. The Republican Representative was expelled from Congress in December after being charged with fraud, money laundering, and lying to lawmakers. Gaza ceasefire resolution to be tabled before the end of the week

The Arab group of countries at the United Nations say a draft resolution calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza will be table before the Security Council in the coming days. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Palestine's Ambassador, Riyad Mansour said the draft has massive support in the council and will be put to a vote even without the support of the United States.

Deadly shooting at US Super Bowl parade

US Police say there are several casualties in Kansas City, after shots were fired during a Super Bowl victory parade. Thousands of fans had gathered on Wednesday in the US state of Missouri to celebrate the Kansas Chiefs's victory in America's National Football League game. Benji Hyer has the latest.
