Modi says need to address ‘abnormal’ ties with China

In an interview to US magazine Newsweek India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that there's an urgent need to resolve 'abnormal' ties with China. The two countries have been engaged in a border standoff over a disputed frontier for nearly four years now. This is the second time this week Modi has made a reference to tense ties with China ahead of general elections.

South Korea exit polls show opposition parties increase majority

South Koreans are heading to the polls to elect a new parliament.  Experts consider the election to be a litmus test on the leadership of President Yoon Suk Yeol. 38 Migrants dead off the coast of Djibouti

At least 38 migrants, including women and children, have lost their lives in a shipwreck off the coast of Djibouti on Tuesday and although 22 people were saved by local fishermen, six others remain missing and are presumed dead. UN migration agency’s Yvonne Ndege says this was far from an isolated tragedy.
