India braces for cyclone Dana’s landfall

According to India's meteorological department, a cyclone is expected to make landfall between Thursday and Friday, on India's eastern coast. Flights and train services to and from two of India's eastern states have been suspended as the region braces itself for heavy rainfall and gusty winds reaching upto 120kmph.

Donald Trump wanted "the kind of generals that Hitler had," according to the former US President's Chief of Staff. John Kelly, an ex Marine Corp General, told the New York Times and The Atlantic magazine that his old boss meets the definition of a fascist, warning he would govern like a dictator if he won the election next month. US confirms North Korean troops now in Russia

North Korean troops are now in Russia, the United States has confirmed. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told reporters there is "evidence" of soldiers in the region. Ukraine's military intelligence earlier said troops were expected to arrive in Russia to join Moscow's fight against Ukraine's incursion. Sally Patterson reports.

UN suspends polio vaccine drive in the north of Gaza

  The United Nations has been forced to pause it's polio vaccination drive in the north of Gaza. More than 100 thousand children were to receive the second dose of the vaccine but due the escalating violence this is now not possible.
