  Several people are feared dead and at least 30 injured after a crowd rush at the Kumbh Mela. The Hindu gathering is touted to be the biggest in the world ever, with close to 100 million estimatedly attending the event this week. Taiwan may offer help for industry over Trump tariff threats

Taiwan's premier says the government will soon look at whether it needs to help its domestic industry over threats by US President Donald Trump to put tariffs on semiconductors. Trump said on Monday he plans to impose tariffs on imported chips, pharmaceuticals and steel to get the producers to make them in the United States. Laura Westbrook reports.

Israel insists laws to prevent UNRWA from operating will go ahead

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations insists that laws to prohibit UNRWA from operating in Israel will come into effect in 48 hours.
