US presses Israel to allow Gaza aid, and threatens to withhold arms

The United States is demanding Israel boost aid access to Gaza, and warns failure to do so would risk cutting off some US military assistance. In a letter, the Biden administration instructed its Middle East ally to act "within 30 days" on a series of concrete measures, expressing "deep concern" about the "deteriorating humanitarian situation" in the war-torn Palestinian territory. UN concerned about food supplies in Northern Gaza

The World Food Programme says all major crossings into the north of the Gaza strip have been closed with no food aid having entered the area since October 1st. India and Canada have expelled each other's six diplomats as ties worsen over the murder of a Sikh leader in Canada last year. It comes after Canada said it asked the Indian government to waive the diplomatic immunity of some officials who have been named as persons of interest in the murder investigation.

Lenacapavir shows 96% HIV prevention success

A six-monthly HIV prevention injection containing lenacapavir has been confirmed effective in two pivotal studies. The first study, PURPOSE 1, showed no HIV infections among two-thousand-134 participants, while the second, PURPOSE 2, reported two infections among two-thousand-179 participants.
