SA’s Ramaphosa announces election date

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared 29 May 2024 as the official date for the country’s national and provincial elections. Spokesperson to President Ramaphosa, Vincent Magwenya says the 2024 elections coincide with South Africa's celebration of 30 years of democracy.
