63.5-percent of households in South Africa are food insecure

A total of 63.5-percent of households in South Africa are food insecure, leaving 36.5-percent food secure. This is according to the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development’s National Food and Nutrition Security Survey conducted between 2021 and 2023.
