Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security, Lucia Witbooi, emphasized the need for countries to develop policy frameworks to address the challenges posed by increased migration. Speaking at a two-day workshop on counter-terrorism and migration in Windhoek, she noted the complexities of managing migration, particularly in southern Africa, where modern-day borders pose additional challenges.
