Former U.S President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama have led a rousing endorsement for Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential bid at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago In speeches which electrified the crowd, they delivered blistering attacks on her Republican rival Donald Trump, while warning there was still much work to be done to defeat him. Former US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are scheduled to speak on day two of the Democrats Convention. It comes as the party's nominee Kamala Harris is being pushed to spell out specific policies and plans if she's elected. Day One's headline speech was delivered by outgoing president Joseph Biden. Simon Marks in Chicago reports there will be a shift in tone on Day Two.
South African Grammy Award-winning pop star Tyla's song Jump has been included in former US president Barack Obama’s annual summer playlist. The song has more than 140-million streams on Spotify. Other singers who landed on Obama's playlist include Beyoncé’s Texas Hold ‘Em, Billie Eilish’s Chihiro, I Can’t Get No Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones, and Tommy Richman’s Million Dollar Baby. Obama has curated and shared his summer playlist almost every year since 2015.
