Hong Kong media tycoon Jimmy Lai stands trial

  Media tycoon Jimmy Lai is pleading not guilty to breaching the Beijing imposed national security law in a Hong Kong court. President Mbumba attends China-Africa forum in Beijing

President Nangolo Mbumba has left for Beijing, China, to join over 50 African leaders at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. The meeting will focus on strengthening China's strategic partnership with Africa in the post-Covid era, with talks expected to center on climate, energy, and digital cooperation. Blinken in Shanghai as he kicks off China trip

U.S Secretary of State, Antony Blinken is in talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on Friday to discuss a range of complex issues, including deepening strains over China's backing of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
