Namdia Denies Ignoring Warnings Ahead of Diamond Heist

Namdia spokesperson Beverley Coussement has refuted claims that the company overlooked security warnings prior to the January diamond heist and dismissed suggestions of insider involvement, as reported by Willem Snyman for NewsOnOne. The remarks come after allegations that Namdia ignored repeated alerts about a possible robbery. The company has since filed a case against its security provider, G4S.

BIPA Begins Mass Deregistration of Companies 

The Business and Intellectual Property Authority has confirmed that starting today, 1 000 companies will be de-registered. A total of 137 thousand companies are targeted, with at least 1 000 or more expected to be removed from the registry each month, according to NewsOnOne’s Hertha Ekandjo.
