Health ministry conducts ongoing COVID-19 and influenza surveillance activities

The Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, said that there has been a rise in respiratory illnesses among children in northern China. According to the ministry, they are actively conducting ongoing COVID-19 and influenza surveillance activities and has not identified an increase in respiratory infections or associated hospitalizations or deaths in Namibia. Italy notifies China that it’s pulling out of BRI

The Italian government has notified China that it's pulling out of the Belt & Road Initiative or BRI, according to reports from multiple news outlets.
