The Helen Suzman Foundation in South Africa has expressed dismay regarding the country's cabinet's decision to formally adopt the white paper on Citizenship, Immigration, and Refugee Protection as final. The migration policy white paper was published in the gazette earlier this week. Naseema Fakir, the foundation's acting executive director, contends that the white paper offers a perplexing solution without adequately addressing the challenges posed by migration to South Africa.
