Namibia

Namibia and Angola Sign Cross-Border Asset Deal

The governments of Namibia and Angola have signed a landmark Asset Sharing Agreement, allowing them to jointly recover and share N$3.3 million in unlawfully acquired assets under Chapter V of the UN Convention Against Corruption. The agreement was signed by Namibia’s Minister of Justice and Labor, Fillemon Wise Immanuel, and Angola’s Attorney General, Hélder Fernando Pitta Grós. Ministry of Justice and Labor spokesperson Edmund //Khoaseb provided further details.
