S.A’s Correctional Services Confirms Admission of 91 Libyan Nationals at Illegal Mpumalanga Base

The Correctional Services Department in South Africa has confirmed the admission of 91 Libyan nationals arrested at an illegal military base in Mpumalanga, as remand detainees. Spokesperson, Singabakho Nxumalo says they will remain in custody until their next hearing on Monday. Nxumalo emphasised adherence to the health screening, security assessment, and orientation of the detainees. He assured collaboration with law enforcement to uphold justice:
