Namdia recovers N$40.6 Million in stolen diamonds as investigation continues

Namib Desert Diamonds (NAMDIA) has given an update on the armed robbery at its premises, confirming that diamonds worth N$40.6 million have been recovered out of the N$314.9 million stolen. The Namibian Police Force is leading the investigation, with two suspects arrested and scheduled to appear in court on 23 May 2025. A pensioner in Ou-Cordon allegedly raped granddaughter

  A 62-year-old man was arrested on Thursday for allegedly raping his 8-year-old granddaughter on two occasions at Ou-Cordon village, in Mankumpi Constituency in the Kavango West region. The incident that was reported yesterday happened at around 20h00, and the minors' mother reported the incident to the police.
