With the General Registration of Voters concluding in three days, the Commission reports that 1,315,124 eligible Namibians have registered, including those abroad, representing 81% of the eligible voter population. Since the GRV began on June 3, 2024, there has been an average of 26,869 new registrations per day from July 22-27, 2024, showing a slight decline from the previous week’s turnout. Voter Registration Drive Registers Over 366,000

The Electoral Commission has reported that since the General Registration of Voters began on June 3, a total of 366,036 eligible Namibians have registered, averaging close to 30 thousand registrations per day from June 10 to June 15. The GRV will continue until August 1, operating Monday to Saturday from 8am to 7pm as the Commission urges all eligible citizens to register promptly.
