UN warns of risks in DRC peacekeeping exit

The head of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo has warned against rushing the withdrawal of peacekeepers from the east of the DRC due to the ongoing violence between government forces and rebels. The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Tshisekedi pledges security for conflict-affected  citizens

The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo has expressed his solidarity with thousands of Congolese citizens who've been displaced by a conflict in the east of the country and promised to restore security and protect them.
