The Democratic Republic of Congo’s Tshisekedi pledges security for conflict-affected  citizens

The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo has expressed his solidarity with thousands of Congolese citizens who've been displaced by a conflict in the east of the country and promised to restore security and protect them. President Felix Tshisekedi made the remarks in a televised address to mark the country's 64th Independence Anniversary on June 30.

UN flags continued fighting in the DRC
