Erongo Police Seize N$2.7 Million Worth of Drugs

  Over the past 11 months, the Erongo Regional Police have seized drugs worth N$2.7 million. As reported by One Africa’s NewsOnOne correspondent Ketemba Tjipepa, Commissioner Nikolaus Kupembona raised concerns about the growing drug issue, especially its detrimental effect on the youth.

The Namibian Police Force has successfully seized various illegal drugs and arrested 191 individuals during their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes in October 2024. The confiscated drugs include over 265 kilograms of cannabis, 1,419 Mandrax tablets, 186 units of crack cocaine, 10.37 grams of cocaine powder, and 7 capsules of MOMA.
