Researcher Questions ReconAfrica’s Latest Oil Claims in Kavango 

  Canadian oil firm ReconAfrica is once again under scrutiny following fresh claims of an oil discovery in the Kavango region. Investigative researcher Rob Parker says the company is “repeating a pattern” of issuing optimistic statements without releasing the technical evidence needed to confirm a commercial find.

Govt Engages Regions on Continental Trade

The International Relations and Trade ministry, working with the Industries, Mines, and Energy ministry, has launched regional consultations with the business community to advance participation in the African Continental Free Trade Area. The first meetings took place in Lüderitz, Hardap, and Omaheke. Minister Selma Ashipala-Musavyi says the initiative is key to strengthening regional trade integration.
