The Namibian Building Workers Pension Fund is upbeat about the government's decision to raise income tax thresholds. Notably, the individual income tax threshold has been doubled from N$50,000 to N$100,000. This means many construction sector workers will be exempt from paying individual income tax. The Namibia Building Workers Pension Fund is optimistic about the year ahead. The principal officer of the NBWPF, Enwich Kazondu, says several projects in the pipeline will impact the construction sector positively.
