DBN’s long-term ratings steady with positive outlook

Fitch Ratings has affirmed the Development Bank of Namibia Limited's Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings at 'BB-' and its National Long-Term Rating at 'AA+, with a stable outlook. Fitch said although DBN recorded a loss of N$270 million for the 2023 financial year due to high loan impairment charges, it forecasts the bank to turn profitable. Building Workers Pension Fund optimistic on construction sector prospects

The Namibia Building Workers Pension Fund is optimistic about the year ahead. The principal officer of the NBWPF, Enwich Kazondu, says several projects in the pipeline will impact the construction sector positively. Although, not all will materialise at once, at least the prospects of what lies ahead, create optimism, which is always important from a macroeconomic perspective. Here is Enwich Kazondu.
