Namibia Moves to Strengthen Labour Systems

Following the 113th International Labour Conference in Geneva, Namibia’s Cabinet has tasked several ministries with evaluating the country’s data collection capacity and preparing to ratify key labour conventions to aid the shift from the informal to the formal economy. Labour expert Herbert Jauch highlighted the potential benefits of international cooperation with Cuba and Mexico, while emphasizing that structural economic reforms are essential for meaningful job creation.
